The present fee structure for the  golden  and vanity number plates are  revised from Nu.10,000 and Nu.50,000 respectively to Nu.50,000 and  Nu,100,000 which will come into effect from 1st June,2010.

                                                                                                                  NOTIFICATION

In reference to the previous procedure for applying of Learner License (LL) where the applicants has to attend the refresher course before the LL is issued, this is to notify that henceforth, all applicants applying for LL will be issued the LL on the same day.

However they must attend the refresher course organized by RSTA within six months, before the applicant is eligible to sit for the driving test. The course dates shall be announced by the respective RTO's and the Base In Charge, and the applicants can attend this course anytime and anywhere.

Course attended will be endorsed by RTOs/Base In charge after which, then the applicants may be allowed to sit for the driving test.

New Taxi Standards and Fee Structure:

The seating capacity  for the taxis are fixed from 5(Five) to 10 (Ten)  persons including the driver.The new fee structure are as the following:

Besides, the following are the additional requirements to be considered:

  1. Roof top carrieres will not be allowed on Taxis for safety reasons.
  2. Companies operating Taxis can inscribe their company logo and Mobile number(s) or Hot line number(s) on the vehicle.
  3. Taxis must install First Aid Kit.
  4. All Taxis must carry the approved fare chart in the vehicle and must collect fare strictly as per the approved fare.
  5. and only new vehicles will be registered as taxi.
  6. Further the Fee for the Learner License will be increased from the existing Nu.50 to Nu.100.
