Institutional building has been enhanced for effective enforcement of the Road Safety and Transport Act and Regulations, proper administration and management of transport system and monitoring of safety measures. Today RSTA has 4 Regional Offices (Thimphu, Phuentsholing, Gelephu and Samdrup Jongkhar) and 16 Base. Total Strength approved by the government for the RSTA during the 9th Plan stands at 108. Today we have a total of 99 officials and staff including GSC and ESP and excluding TOC (Drivers).
