High Taxi fare

It has been learnt that many taxi's and other vehicles are ferrying travelers/passengers at very high fare/rate than the approved one at this difficult and risky road conditions. RSTA would like to inform all that, RSTA and Traffic police has put in Officers at all the block sites to ensure proper flow of traffic and safety of all. Together, we will also be inspecting fare imposed on passengers. All are advised to corporate and help each other at this difficult situation and avoid un-necessary incident.

RSTA would like to request all travellers to report on charging of excess fares to RSTA or Traffic Police along with the Taxi Registration Number at mobile Nos.17619720, Chief RTO,RSTA,Thimphu, 17714007, Chief RTO,RSTA, Pling, 17170202, RTO, RSTA, Monggar, 16913086 RTO, RSTA S/jongkhar and 17844788 RTO, RSTA, Gelephu and 17744402, CTO, RSTA (Hq)) or you can also call 17800394 OC,RBP Gedu 176114412 OC Tsimasham and 17808080 OC Traffic Pling). 

RSTA would also like to request Taxi Operators not to take advantage of the situation by charging excessive fares. RSTA and Traffic has already imposed fines on 7 taxis involved in such acts. It is a time to render whatever possible help we can to each other, not to take advantage of those who are in need.
