In order to facilitate the use of online payment for RSTA services, RSTA has now opened self-service payment counter (a computer with internet connection and a printer) in Thimphu RSTA office. Individuals may use the facilities to make online payment, and RSTA officials will be there to guide, if required.
With the start of online payment service for Road Safety & Transport Authority (RSTA), from 20th April 2017, a total of Nu.421,390/- has been collected with 365 online payment transactions. Hon'ble Prime Minister launched the ePayment services on 22nd May 2017.
MoIC and RSTA, once again request all concerned to use the online payment services available from RSTA and MoIC websites. We request all to share about our online payment solutions to others as well to make use of the facilities, which shall not only save your time and resources but will be more easy, prompt and efficient.
This is to notify the general public that RSTA office, Thimphu will remain closed on 5th July, 2017 on the occasion of joining of our new Director General.

The Ministry of Information and Communications (MoIC) conducted High-level consultation meeting on draft Transport Policy today, 30 June 2017 in the Ministry.The Hon?ble Secretary of the Ministry,Ministry of Work and Human Settlement , National Environment Commission and representative from Ministry of Economic Affairs, Thimphu Thromdey and United Nations Development Program participated in the meeting.
We regret to inform all the general public that the RSTA's system is down currently as the Government Data Center which host the system has some issue. Therefore all are requested to bear to wait for some time for the services un till the issue is resolved.
We request all to avail the online services when the system is up. All the online services link are at our website at the righthand side under Online Service menu.

RSTA appreciates customers using the online payment Services to avail RSTA services, however please note that vehicle owners must still visit the nearest RSTA office for inspection of the vehicle for fitness test (Road Worthiness Test) and pay accordingly as required. If you prefer manual cash payment after the fitness test, you will get the Fitness Certificate instantly from any RSTA office you visit, Or if you prefer to pay online after the vehicle has been inspected, you can pay online later without having to park your vehicle and without having to wait in the queue.
